Dubai Bank appoints CIO

Mr. Safa joined Dubai Bank in July 2004 as Chief Information Officer.

He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the Information Technology arena, specifically in Finance and Banking, in which he has more than 24 years of experience.

During his career, Samir managed large-scale information technology projects, as well as building and implementing multi-discipline financial information solutions successfully across North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Far East.

For over a decade, Samir has been dedicated to serve the needs and requirements of the Islamic Banking and Finance industry in their various formations. He has provided invaluable support to such institutions from set-up to launch; where he has managed diverse functions from an IT point of view which covers retail, investment, treasury, finance and corporate banking.

In his role at Dubai Bank, Samir will be responsible for setting up a state-of-the art IT infrastructure to sustain the banks position as an innovative and competitive and one that offers the highest levels of quality and service.
