Giordano launches customer appreciation programme in the Kingdom

Giordano Fashions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched a customer appreciation programme for Saudi customers - the Giordano Card.
The initial offering of membership was done through Giordano's extensive database, but is now available in store to all customers who wish to avail of the Giordano Card benefits. Benefits include 10 per cent discount on all regular price items, free subscription to Gio News, Giordano's in-house newsletter, a surprise gift on member's birthdays and early-bird notifications on Giordano's new seasonal collections.
Hani Abdul Aziz Saab, President of the Textiles and Garments Company, the parent of Giordano Fashions in the Kingdom, said: "We have thousands of loyal customers across the Kingdom, some who have been shopping at our stores since we arrived 10 years ago, and we wanted to reward that commitment to the brand. Customers have come to expect certain levels of service at our 37 Giordano stores across the Kingdom, this is just our way of thanking them for the support and continued devotion to the brand."
Mr.Ruben Benji Rogel - became the first Giordano Card member, with card number ME30000001. Speaking of his excitement at becoming the first cardholder, Benji Rogel said: "I have been a regular Giordano customer since 1995 and I always follow the new collections. Giordano has always offered me quality clothes at reasonable prices, this is just another example of the value they offer me."
Giordano continues to innovate and change the dynamics of the apparel retail business. Saab continued: "With so much choice for customers, we know that the simplicity of Giordano's offering, makes clothes shopping a lot easier, and hopefully a more pleasant experience. People want consistency in service, value and price, which are key areas of our business philosophy."
2005 will see the continuation of an ambitious global refurbishment programme across Giordano's 1,600 stores around the world, including stores across the Kingdom, at an expected cost of SR 3 million in Saudi alone. The new look Giordano stores will feature wider aisles, new lighting concepts, larger fitting rooms, with direct communications to sales staff and separation of product, which are all aimed it making the Giordano experience better for customers.
