Qatar Airways is increasing frequency on its Bahrain - Doha route by operating additional flights to cope with this summer's travel rush.
On June 9, Qatar Airways added a sixth round trip flight on Thursdays on the Bahrain-Doha route. Effective July 14, a seventh round trip flight has been added. The new flights operate until October 29, using an Airbus A320 in a two-class configuration of 12 in First Class and 132 in Economy.
"We are pleased to offer the increased frequency to accommodate our business and leisure travellers during the peak travel months," said Mohammed Ali, Bahrain Area Manager, Qatar Airways.
"Bahrain is a key market for Qatar Airways and we want to ensure that our customers can take advantage of these additional flights to reduce transit times and increase their flight experience. The extra flights will ensure improved connections to the airline's global network," he added.
Qatar Airways operates a fleet of 40 modern all-Airbus aircraft to 66 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Indian subcontinent and Far East from its operational hub of Doha, capital of the State of Qatar. Delhi is the latest destination launched, from July 14.

Notes and media contacts
As one of the fastest growing and youngest carriers in the world, Qatar Airways has made significant inroads in the global aviation industry to become an award-winning airline in just a short few years. Its fleet of 40 aircraft will almost double within a few years thanks largely to a $5.1bn order for 34 additional Airbus aircraft signed in 2003. The airline is one of the launch customers of the twin-deck A380 'super jumbos' with four aircraft on order and scheduled for delivery from 2009 to coincide with the opening of the New Doha International Airport.
Qatar Airways is one of only four airlines in the world to be ranked a Five Star carrier for excellent service and high standards by Skytrax.
Skytrax also ranked Qatar Airways' cabin crew as the best in the Middle East in 2005 for the third year running and fifth best in the world following a survey of more than 12 million passengers worldwide.
