Motexha gains momentum as 36 countries support Autumn 2005 show
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, July 16 - 2005 at 13:06
- PRESS RELEASE
The bi-annual Motexha trade show is setting stage for its Autumn edition.
Thailand's participation, increases by 32 per cent of floor space, as the DEP (Department of Export Promotions) makes its presence felt with a strong contingent of 40 plus exhibitors. Other new industry support comes from associations such as the Korean fabric manufacturer's Daegu Association and the Arab Brazil Chamber of Commerce.
Commenting on the massive backing behind Motexha, Suman Manian, Show Manager, said, "Motexha's 27 year credentials as the region's leading trade show means we give Middle East businesses the best opportunity to capitalise on the very latest from global fashion and textiles markets."
Fashion and textiles is a multi-billion dollar industry and said to be the 5th most important industry sector after oil. Motexha Autumn 2005 is expected to feature over 500 exhibitors from 36 countries spanning Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Indian sub-continent and the GCC and Levant countries. "At Motexha Autumn you can source everything from exclusive brands from Spain and Italy hungry for regional exposure to the latest in mass production from China," added Manian.
Motexha's growth is concurrent with that of Dubai's retail industry as a whole. This has seen the exhibition evolve over the years with the launch of several show features to cater to these market changes. Building on the success of the recent LaunchPad fashion shows and PURE Branded Wear, Motexha Autumn introduces M-Chic, a new vertical fashion segment that will provide an opportunity for exclusive and trendy fashion brands to be launched. The 'by invite only' zone aims to attract the most discerning professional buyers.
Motexha will continue to deliver a fully rounded show with other dedicated business areas including international country pavilions, PURE Branded Wear, KidZone, EuroTrendz, Retail Outfitting. The latest industry styles can be previewed at the LaunchPad fashion shows and at the Trends Forum display. Expanding product sectors at Autumn include the swimwear and intimate wear category, with the largest number of exhibitors ever supporting the show. The accessories section will also double in size with key international players such as Chartage from Belgium, Fine N' Rhine from Hong Kong, UAE based Venus International, and first time exhibitors such as X-tasty International and KI Ryoong Jewellery.
