The 14 participating companies based in the Dubai Cargo Village were judged in 4 categories; Cleanliness, Recycling, No Smoking and Personnel Awareness. FedEx won the award for the cleanliness of its offices and vehicles, its active participation in environment preservation activities and effective recycling systems, a 'No Smoking' policy and extensive training programs in personnel awareness.
FedEx also received a cash reward of AED 25,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
The Award was established last year as part of Dubai Cargo Village's efforts to make the private and public sector companies located in Dubai Cargo Village more environmentally friendly.
