According to Zahid Nayeem, manager of Bin Sougat Centre, many families from GCC countries have been visiting the mall, predominantly Arab women and children who find it the perfect place to shop and spend their summer vacation in a relaxed setting.

"Bin Sougat Centre has had a consistent increase in footfall and sales during this period for the last three years, and so far this has been an excellent DSS. Our mall is a neighbourhood shopping destination that has become an attraction for GCC residents who visit their relatives living in Rashidiya and surrounding areas like Mirdiff, Al Khawaneej, Al Towar, Mizhar and Garhoud. We are projecting that DSS 2005 will be even bigger and better for Bin Sougat Centre", said Nayeem.

He continued that Bin Sougat Centre is known as a "Ladies Mall" as women account for the majority of shoppers. Arab women, mostly UAE nationals, constitute 90 per cent of the mall's target audience while the remaining 10 per cent is made up of Europeans and Asians.

In addition to the various events organised by the DSS office, Bin Sougat has arranged its own line-up of activities to provide families a fun atmosphere and a rewarding shopping experience, as a result of promotions being run by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group, Gold and Jewellery Group and the World Gold Council.

The activities taking place at the mall include roaming clowns with balloons, face-painting, cartoon character shows, magic shows, rubber art, hair braiding, sand art, art and crafts, photo-frame making and woodwork, to name a few.
