Revolutionary adidas women's ClimaCool™ range hits the Middle East

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, July 18 - 2005 at 11:38
  • PRESS RELEASE

Leading sports performance brand, adidas, today launched its latest, hip, trendy and functional ClimaCool™ range for women.

The new Autumn / Winter '05 ClimaCool™ apparel and footwear centers around adidas' revolutionary technology, utilizing intelligent fabric and ventilations systems to enhance product performance.

The advanced range of sporting apparel and footwear comes as a result of adidas' ever-evolving ClimaCool™ technology that works hard to keep you cool, dry and comfortable during your workout.

Keeping adidas at the forefront of the sports apparel industry, the new women's range features the latest designs for running shoes; training pants and jackets; long-sleeve zip tops; t-shirts and seamless tank tops, designed to ensure the most comfortable work out.

"No matter your sport, be it running, tennis or aerobics, ClimaCool™ perfectly compliments your exercise. The new range will be a highlight for the female sporting enthusiast offering them heightened performance from their apparel and footwear," said Walter Bruppacher, Head of Marketing, adidas-Salomon Emerging Markets.

The ClimaCool™ technology incorporates three main elements, Ventilation, Bodymapping and Moisture Management. To ensure you are cool, and using intelligent fabrics to fend off heat and sweat, Ventilation, incorporates ventilation channels that constantly create the flow of cool air through apparel and footwear. adidas' breakthrough technology, Bodymapping, is the concept ClimaCool™ centers around.

Through the analysis of how your body heat regulates temperature adidas has identified areas where heat and moisture are released. The information collated has aided the design process in creating sports apparel that works in harmony with your body, keeping you cool. Moisture Management, also vital in regulating body temperature, plays emphasis on the design and placement of ClimaCool's™ breathable fabric used to transport moisture away from skin through the clothing's surface.

"The demands of a tennis player are going to be different to the demands of a mountain trail runner," added Bruppacher. "For this reason, adidas has applied ClimaCool™ technology to a varied range of apparel thus ensuring the physical and environmental demands of each sport are met."

In a unique setting fitting to the range's namesake, the Middle East launch of the sports apparel and footwear Autumn / Winter '05 range saw a live demonstration of the revolutionary fabric technology on a range of sports disciplines.

To celebrate the arrival of the new apparel and footwear range, adidas also held a free women's fitness 'work out' at The Fairmont Hotel today (July 17) with one of adidas' sponsored BTS qualified fitness instructors.

The new ClimaCool™ women's range will be available throughout the UAE in all adidas brand stores. Customers are advised that ranges may differ in each store.
