- PRESS RELEASE
The Hilton Salalah Resort welcomes UAE holidaymakers this summer for Oman's annual Khareef Festival with direct flights and special packages.
The Worldwide Resort, which boasts 147 well-appointed deluxe family rooms and executive suites provides an exclusive beachfront and spectacular sea-views, is offering attractive savings for the Khareef Festival this year. With the onset of the Festival, the Hilton Salalah Resort launches an unbeatable package. UAE residents can fly directly to Salalah for three nights with Oman Air. In addition to return flights and accommodation, the package is inclusive of a daily buffet breakfast, complimentary return airport transfers by the hotel, and all hotel taxes and service charges.
"Salalah has become a popular destination for thousands of Gulf visitors in the summer as a break from the relentless heat," said Guy Epsom, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, Hilton International, Arabian Peninsula. "When the area experiences tropical rains, the mist covers the mountains and there is beautiful greenery everywhere - our resort is the perfect spot to enjoy this unique climate," he added.
During the cool monsoon season, the Khareef festival features live performances by international Arab stars and Omani singers and dancers, folklore shows, art exhibitions and sales of authentic Omani handicrafts, artistic events, sports and other amusement activities that make for an unforgettable experience.
With two first-class restaurants, the property also features four bars, a nightclub, heated swimming pool, children's pool, two floodlit tennis courts, beach volleyball and a fully equipped fitness centre with a health club, sauna massage and spa services. In addition, banqueting and conference facilities are available for up to 250 people.
"There is an infinite variety of ingredients for a perfect holiday, but enjoyable activity, beautiful scenery, interesting sights, warm hospitality, cool temperatures and good food are on everyone's list," explained Epsom.
Salalah has a tropical appearance all year around. In the winter months the coconut, banana and papaya trees are heavy with fruit, making the landscape indistinguishable from any exotic Far East location. For winter holidaymakers, Salalah offers tranquillity and for those who are keen scuba divers the sea in the winter is the ideal time, with calm waters and good visibility. It is also the height of the fishing season when Omani fish, prawn and lobster are at their best.
