- PRESS RELEASE
The final date for submitting entries to the photography exhibition jointly organised by the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS 2005) Media Center and Arab Union of Photographers and sponsored by Kodak, is extended by one week to July 21.
"So far, the DSS Media Center has received more than 37 applications and many of them are for the photojournalist's category. There are three categories in this exhibition and each participant in this exhibition has to submit 10 of his best photographs," said Aref Khan, Area Business Manager Kodak adding. "Along with this exhibition there would be some special corners to educate and entertain visitors about photography and cameras," he said. "There will be special corners for exhibiting the old cameras and the new cameras. A corner will teach visitors how to take nice pictures using the mobile phone cameras. Yet another corner will teach visitors about the process of film developing and how to print the pictures that they have taken using their mobile phones," informed Khan. Kodak is the sponsor of the exhibition.
Along with the exhibition, there will be a photography contest for all of the participants having pictures of any of DSS events or the Modhesh Fun City the entry date for which is August 10.
