Sheraton Dubai Creek announces promotion of Yves Tarabout to Director of Sales

Of French nationality, Tarabout graduated with a Bachelor in Economic Science, before moving on to pass out of the Vatel Institut Paris with higher degree in Hotel and Catering Management.

He started his career in the hospitality industry with various Luxury hotels in Paris before taking on a Management Trainee position at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Resort & Towers in December 1998. From then on, he moved up to become a Sales Executive, a Sales Manager, a Senior Sales Manager and subsequently, Deputy Director of Sales - all in a 5 years' time.

Tarabout also played an instrumental role in the re-opening of the Sheraton Abu Dhabi in 2003. "After a successful re-launch, I decided to take on new challenges by joining a sister property in a growing city like Dubai. This city's hotel industry is booming at an incredible pace and Sales plays a crucial role in keeping the hotel one step ahead of the competition", says Yves.

In his current capacity, Tarabout responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day Sales operations, managing the Sales team and developing its members, coordinating team sales efforts to achieve hotel's overall revenue goals and objectives and ensuring that the Sheraton brand remains a market leader amongst stiff competition in the United Arab Emirates.
