BP appoints Fares Ghneim as Communications Manager

BP Middle East has appointed Fares Ghneim as Communications Manager for the Middle East and Pakistan, based in the company's Chief Representative office in Abu Dhabi.

Fares was previously an editor with the Middle East and North Africa team of the Economist Intelligence Unit, based in London, and before that a Congressional Liaison and Public Affairs Officer for the Jordan Information Bureau in Washington DC. For the past five years he worked as Account Director at Headline Public Relations in Dubai and he enjoys strong relations with the regional and international media.

"This new role was created to ensure consistency and professionalism in BP's external and internal communications throughout the region," said Dr. Michael Daly, President, BP Middle East & Pakistan. "Fares' extensive experience will help underline our commitment to living our corporate brand values in the Middle East."

Fares holds a Master's degree from Georgetown University's Center for Contemporary Arab Studies.
