- PRESS RELEASE
Royal Jordanian will start to operate direct biweekly flights to Milan as of October 30, 2005.
The decision to start the new destination to Italy came in order to facilitate travel and trade between Amman and Milan and to serve businessmen's travel between the two cities, in addition to serving passengers transiting via Amman.
Royal Jordanian has four direct weekly flights to Rome. This service will be boosted this coming autumn by the biweekly flights to Milan. RJ operated a direct service from Amman to Milan from 1996 to 1998. It constantly studies the market in order to offer the best and most convenient services.
Milan, the second largest city in Italy, is 475 km far from Rome. It is considered an important economic and industrial city in the heart of Europe.
Adding Milan to the RJ route network makes it the airline's 49th station. RJ's modern fleet comprises 21 aircraft operating more than 225 weekly flights.
