Significant sales revenue increase at AME Info
- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, July 23 - 2005 at 11:14
- PRESS RELEASE
Advertising sales are on the increase at AME Info, the leading provider of business information in and about the Middle East region.
Elias Boutsikaris, Sales Manager at AME Info since August 2004, is largely responsible for this sales boost. Since taking on the role, Boutsikaris has overhauled the company's sales proposition by identifying new opportunities to develop business, revitalising sales materials, and changing pricing structures.
Boutsikaris, who grew up in South Africa, has also been building closer relationships with buyers by advising them on strategies for optimising their advertising slots.
"Elias's hands-on approach to delivering effective campaigns has strengthened AME Info's appeal to advertisers, and the knock-on effect has benefited the whole business," said Lars B. Nielsen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, AME Info.
"Increased sales revenue has meant higher-than-expected operating profits, and this fiscal 'shot in the arm' has enabled the company to bankroll its expansion plans - aimed primarily at attracting more internet users, globally," continued Nielsen.
Before joining AME Info, Boutsikaris worked in the airline industry.
"It is an exciting time to be in the Middle East. An increasing number of companies are looking for exposure in the region, and many of these are looking to AME Info, one of the region's most prominent brands, to deliver that aim. I'm happy and proud to be a part of that process," commented Elias Boutsikaris.
AME Info's sales proposition has also been strengthened by the recent publication of the company's inaugural e-audit, the first ever survey of a Middle East website. The company aims to carry out the audit on a quarterly process in a bid to attract more international advertising.
AME Info currently carries more than 50,000 news articles as well as full contact and activity details of more than 200,000 companies from 14 countries across the Middle East. With daily news updates categorized according to vertical markets, video and audio features, specialist commentary on the Middle East's financial markets and contributions from guest writers, AME Info offers a comprehensive analysis of business development and activities.
AME Info's information resource portal also records more than 60,000 subscribers for its personalised "My AME Info" service - providing users with the benefits of instant e-mail news updates and contact information for listed companies, and exclusive interviews with senior executives.
