- PRESS RELEASE
Summer travellers are in for a treat this holiday season as Emirates Airline, a key sponsor and Official Carrier of DSS since the inception of the event in 1998, is offering its worldwide customers exceptional value-for-money travel packages.
Emirates' guests will experience the famed Arabian hospitality from the moment they start their journey with the airline. At the Dubai International Airport they are greeted with personalised meet-and-assist services, welcome packs and transfers to their hotels in chauffeur-driven cars.
At the end of their stay, when they leave the city with suitcases full of bargains, each visitor will receive an additional 10 kilos of free baggage allowance.
Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' Vice President - Commercial Sales (UAE) said: "As always, Emirates' DSS packages offer excellent value for money, evident in the popularity and demand for them. We promote DSS throughout our global network, including through our website and offices abroad, with point of sale promotional materials and hard-hitting sales campaigns for our packages."
Valid till 2nd September, these packages are available to all Emirates passengers regardless of the class of travel, for a minimum stay of three nights with an option to extend their stay.
Prices are on a per-person per-night sharing basis and include all accommodation-related taxes and service charges.
As Dubai continues its run as the fun capital of the world till end August, Emirates also promotes the event worldwide with a full-scale PR and advertising campaign which includes sporting the DSS logo on its aircraft, which fly to more than 77 destinations in 54 countries around the world.
Emirates is amongst the fastest growing and top five most profitable airlines in the world. Its 78 all wide-bodied fleet includes one Airbus A310 and six Boeing 747 freighters, and the airline plans to more than double its size by 2012. Emirates also announced the largest order in commercial history last year when it added 71 new Airbus and Boeing aircraft worth US$19 billion.
Emirates Airline has received more than 280 awards since its inception in 1985, in recognition of its unsurpassed levels of customer service. From the efficiency of its international cargo delivery to the excellence of its in-flight meals, Emirates has been singled out, time and again, as a class apart.
The airline is a staunch supporter of the ten week DSS 2005, which began with the Flower Surprises on June 22 and continues with the Sweets Surprises, Arts Surprises, Colour Surprises, Ice Surprises, Adventure Surprises, Cartoon Surprises, Heritage Surprises, Knowledge Surprises and concludes with the Back-2-School Surprises on September 2.
