New man to drive Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in the Middle East

DaimlerChrysler Middle East has appointed American Trent Barcroft as the new Vice President, Director, Sales and Marketing, Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands in the region. He succeeds Bruce Ohms who has returned to America.
In 1996 he joined Chrysler International, Latin America, Middle East and Africa region with responsibilities for marketing and merchandising as well as incentives. Two years later, as the Chrysler and Mercedes-Benz South Africa operations merged, he planned and implemented the combining of the retail networks before being promoted to Manager of Dealer Strategy for DaimlerChrysler South Africa, overseeing dealer operations, dealer contracts and corporate identity.
In 2000, he became Divisional Manager for Chrysler and Jeep, responsible for all brand activities. During his time at DC South Africa, the company achieved the number one brand for Sales Satisfaction, and Jeep became the top volume SUV brand in the country.
"Our Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands are the crown jewels of our company and we are fortunate to represent names with long and distinguished histories," said Barcroft. "In a time of considerable change when we will almost double the number of models available over the next three years, my role is to work hard to ensure we earn and maintain the customer consideration these three great brands deserve."
Married with a daughter, Barcroft enjoys motocycling and holds a private pilots licence.
