Seiat is aiming to target the enterprise and SME sectors with Mitel VoIP solutions. With this strategic alliance, Seiat also plans to build up Mitel's dealer reach in Qatar and augment market share for the complete range of telephony applications.
Rajeev G. Krishnan, general manager of Seiat, said: 'Qatar, is one of the most dynamic economies in the region and presents an attractive business opportunity for network products and converged platforms.'
'Mitel has a very strong presence world-wide and in the region. It is a leading vendor in the IP communication industry. I believe the time is ripe for Mitel Networks and Seiat Systems to join hands and take advantage of the Qatar business communications market. There are a wide range of opportunities where we can make a great difference with Mitel technology,' commented Mr. Krishnan.
'We are pleased to have selected Seiat for our partnership in Qatar as they are leading system integrators and solution providers in the industry,' said Hisham Amili, general manager, GCC at Mitel.
'Qatar has always been a core market for Mitel ever since Cable & Wireless days with Q-Tel and BT's involvement with Mitel back in the eighties. Mitel has always enjoyed excellent relationship with Q-tel in the past and are keen to build on that relationship in the near future,' Mr. Amili added.
'I am equally pleased with the new market dynamics at play in Qatar where the market appears to be receptive to VoIP and other advanced telephony applications. Although a relatively small market in comparison to other markets in the region, Qatar is a very important one in the GCC for a number of reasons including but not limited to the rate of growth, diversification, WTO, and potential market liberalisation' Mr. Amili concluded.
Mitel's broad portfolio of solutions includes advanced voice, video and data communications platforms, phones and internet appliances, intuitive applications for CRM and mobility, messaging and multimedia collaboration.
