The new ESPRIMO E PCs: modular and ergonomic with Green PC technology

Capitalizing on the success of the world wide launch, the extremely silent ESPRIMO E, a Small Form Factor PC (SFF), is the second ESPRIMO PC to become available in the Middle East. Designed to offer a complete ergonomic solution to increasing worldwide environmental legislation, the ESPRIMO professional PCs deliver the ultimate in cutting-edge technology combined with a modular and environmentally conscious design to professional users.

'The ESPRIMO range, of which the ESPRIMO E is the second model to be released, is designed to accommodate all desktop requirements,' said Suzanne Lewitzki, Product Marketing Manager, Fujitsu Siemens Computers. 'These 'Green' PCs are designed to rigorously comply with new, stringent EU guidelines, which will be in force by mid- 2006, restricting the use of hazardous substances.'

The ESPRIMO E comes with new manageability and flexibility features as well as Fujitsu Siemens Computers' innovative Green PC technology. The ESPRIMO E5905 is based on the latest Intel® 945G Express Chipset, while the ESPRIMO E5901 is also equipped with Intel® Active Management Technology.

'The Small Form factor PC ESPRIMO E was designed as a standard desktop for demanding office applications in large networks. It is particularly well suited to larger organizations where factors like trouble-free operation in open-plan offices and flexible expansion options are especially important when purchasing PCs,' added Lewitzki.

With this in mind, Fujitsu Siemens Computers equipped the ESPRIMO E Series with adaptable rear panels and flexible slots; either for four low-profile cards or two full-height PCI cards combined with one low-profile card. The enhanced cooling concept means the new models are the quietest in their class, and the switched monitor outlet system saves energy since the PC automatically controls the monitor's power supply.

ESPRIMO professional PCs, manufactured in Augsburg, Germany, deliver the latest in cutting-edge technology in an environmentally conscious package. All three lines of the new ESPRIMO global brand have a modular design for easy upgrading. The ESPRIMO P5905 Microtower has been available in the region since June as part of the Intel® Stable Image Platform Program. The space-conscious Ultra-Small Form Factor ESPRIMO C Series will hit the market later in the summer.

The company has minimised the lead content in ESPRIMO mainboards from 12 grams to one, and completely restricted the use of halogen gas. In addition, the printed circuit boards, as well as power supply and riser card, are halogen-free. All ESPRIMO PCs are equipped with an advanced cooling concept, making them even quieter to provide an optimal working environment.
