Child diabetes warning

Doctors in Bahrain have warned parents to look for warning signs of diabetes in their children following the death of a 17-year-old girl from a heart attack, apparently triggered by a diabetic condition about which her family was unaware. Parents should look out for signs such as excessive thirst, excessive urination, loss of weight despite an increased appetite and children who are very thin, according to American Mission Hospital internal medicine consultant, Dr K Mathew George.
