Nakheel appoints GM for Jumeirah Golf Estates

Ms. Dina will oversee all the project aspects including planning, design, tendering, construction, managing, maintaining, and dealing with all customer relations; she will lead a team of highly skilled operational and functional professionals to ensure Jumeirah Golf Estates is delivered with the highest quality standards.

Nakheel has created an unprecedented alliance at Jumeirah Golf Estates with golfing superstars Greg Norman and Vijay Singh joining to create one of the world's largest golf real estate projects. Jumeirah Golf Estates will be one of the finest residential communities and golfing destinations in the world, boasting world class golf courses surrounded by the finest residential opportunities in Dubai. The four environmentally themed courses - Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind - mirror the elements of nature, integrating seamlessly with distinct gated communities, featuring a variety of housing opportunities, world class amenities and premier services.

Ms. Dina joins Nakheel from PCFC where she had responsibility for Ports and Dry Docks in the role of Assistant Manager for the Environmental Health and Safety Department. Prior to this, Ms. Dina graduated from California State University with a masters degree in Environmental Studies - Policy & Planning, prior to which she acquired two BA degrees in Environmental Science and French, concentrating on French Architecture at the prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris.

In the UAE, particularly, golf courses consume large amounts of water; to reverse this high consumption rate, each course within Jumeirah Golf Estates will use the latest in eco-friendly technology such as soil amendments, reverse osmosis, and treated sewage water, which will reduce the consumption by up to 30 per cent, creating some of the world's most ecologically sound leisure developments."

This appointment is part of a number of announcements that have been made over the past two weeks as Nakheel restructures its senior management team in order to enhance customer focus and delivery, and to prepare for the next stage of growth and profitability. Each Nakheel project will now act as an autonomous strategic business unit complete with its own management, budget and team.
