- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, August 07 - 2005 at 09:15
- PRESS RELEASE
Emirates Post and Emirates Driving Institute have entered into a partnership to offer driving licence admission application at post offices, starting from August 8, 2005.
The agreement was signed recently by Mr. Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post, and Mr. Amer Belhasa, Managing Director, Emirates Driving Institute.
Applicants can buy from the post-office counter a service envelop, which mentions all the terms and conditions as well as the required documents. The completed application form has to be submitted to the counter in the sealed envelop with all the required documents and fees. After 48 hours, the applicant can check with the counter or the Emirates Post Call Centre (04 33 400 33) about the status of his application. The "Learning Permit" will be delivered to the applicant's P.O. Box.
"Emirates Post is gradually intensifying its program of offering multiple, non-postal services at post-offices. Services related to driving licences are the latest to be added to our list, thanks to our collaboration with Emirates Driving Institute, a dealing provider of high quality driving training in the UAE," said Mr. Al Daboos. "We are delighted to add one more convenience for the benefit of our customers, and our counter staff has been well trained to handle all queries."
"Emirates Driving Institute strongly believes in easing the procedures for obtaining driving licences," said Mr. Belhasa. "This partnership with Emirates Post gives us a powerful opportunity to get closer to our customers through the postal network. We will work jointly with Emirates Post to streamline and speed up the various procedures. We are confident that the high standards of service adopted by Emirates Post will add value to our efforts to raise the bar on quality."
