BenQ to project creative ambition through distribution agreement
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 08 - 2005 at 09:49
- PRESS RELEASE
BenQ, the region's leader in digital lifestyle products, has announced a pioneering distribution agreement in its bid to secure the number two position in the UAE digital projector market.
AVTelco has been appointed by BenQ due to its commitment to a 'total Audio/Video solution' philosophy, providing professional sales and technical staff to implement turnkey projects and after-sales support.
"BenQ has become renowned for providing personalized support to its customers, and so requires from its distributors an exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to customer care right throughout the sales process. AVTelco meets these requirements, and will be putting our years of aftersales and technical support experience at BenQ's disposal," said Zoran Dragacevic, managing director of AVTelco.
AVTelco will provide vital assistance in the widespread introduction of BenQ's PB2140 & PB2250, from the light mobility series weighing just 1.9 kilograms. BenQ's light brigade is compatible with a number of video system input/output configurations, and will allow travelling businessmen & professionals across the UAE and OGCC to conduct powerful presentations simply and effectively.
BenQ will also be using the hectic summer months to promote its PB6240, a 2700 ANSI Lumens high performance portable XGA projector with excellent picture quality, best-suited to the Middle East small and medium corporate / SOHO customers.
"Projectors provide a strong business market in the Middle East, with rising demand and plenty of untapped opportunities. A number of sectors, including education, corporate, government and healthcare, are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of projectors, and our task is to enhance this awareness through our agreement with BenQ," Dragacevic continued.
In addition to the business market, BenQ is also focussing its projector sales campaign on youthful consumers, with thousands of UAE residents preparing to rush indoors and settle down to the latest in home cinema entertainment during the hot summer months. BenQ has anticipated this trend, and will soon have three home theatre models covering requirements of all the three entry-mid-high segments (different levels of wide screen resolution, contrast and overall performance) available in UAE.
Having already launched the PB5120, BenQ will also be focussing on the PB7700 (2500:1 contrast), and will introduce the PB8720 (6200:1 contrast) in August. Both these models are based on BenQ's proprietary Senseye Technology, and come with Wide XGA resolution. These are designed to captivate the youthful Middle East consumer market, and will consolidate BenQ's reputation for creative excellence.
"For BenQ, the business market is as important as the young consumer market; we cannot reach our sales targets unless we design projectors which facilitate business as well as pleasure. While our projectors are light enough to be transported by busy executives, they are also powerful enough to present the latest movies in a full cinematic experience," said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.
"While our business and home theatre projectors share a lot of the same characteristics - lightness, good looks, sharp contrast - they each carry a lot of features specifically designed for different customers. We feel we have found the perfect balance between creativity and consistency," Dung continued.
