DSS boosts sales, footfall at Karama Centre

Ahmed Niazi, senior manager at Karama Centre said that sales have risen between 10-15 per cent as against the same period last year, and expects the figure to climb in the final month of DSS. The number of visitors to the mall has also gone up, by over 30 per cent, compared to the corresponding period in 2004.

Commenting on the growth in sales and mall traffic, Mr. Niazi, said: 'Karama Centre is enjoying its best summer season. We are happy to be participating in the DSS, and contributing towards the economic growth of Dubai and the UAE. We are preparing to receive even more visitors from different nationalities during the final month of DSS, as a result of our entertaining activities and the promotion that is being run at our mall by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG)'.

Visitors to Karama Centre have been enthusiastically participating in the DSS celebrations which includes fun activities for children and cultural events for the entire family. On Thursdays and Fridays, Karama Centre hosts a programme titled 'DSS Favourites' featuring music concerts, dance performances and cultural shows.

Karama Centre is also offering DSS shoppers the chance to win up to Dh3 million in prizes including three dream grand prizes - one million dirhams, a luxurious Jumeirah Beach Residence apartment and a Toyota Land Cruiser. In addition, there will be weekly draws of Dh50,000, on pre-loaded Mashreqbank WOW! Mastercard cards.

As further incentives to participate, shoppers who use their MasterCard credit card will receive two coupons for every Dh200 spent, thereby doubling their chances of winning. If they win using a Mashreqbank WOW! MasterCard they double their potential winnings to Dh100,000.

All coupons will be entered at the grand draw to pick three lucky DSS shoppers for the grand prizes.
