Unicef urges more breastfeeding

Unicef says there is a need to educate Saudi mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding. Only 31 percent of infants in the Kingdom are breastfed for the first six months. Unicef's Dr Mahendra Sheth says that several Gulf countries show patterns similar to European industrialised countries where exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months is below 35 percent.
