"Having received an overwhelming response from various professionals in the field including the talented photographers and the Press as part of the DSS Photography Exhibition, picking the winners of the Photography Contest, which is organized as part of the DSS Photography Exhibition will be tough choice," says Laila Suhail, DSS Executive Project Director. A jury, strictly going by the artistic value of the photographs will conduct the judgment, and the prize ceremony will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre where winners will be announced on the World Photographers Day.
The exhibition which acts as a platform for exploring and recognising distinguished photographic talents in the UAE - both professional and amateur, will display a plethora of talent. The three categories of the competition, including the Professional Photographers - Dubai in General; Talent Category - Dubai Landscapes and Press Photography Category - Any Photograph, have drawn in some unique and original sights of the world around us.

Qasim Al Hammadi, President of the Arab Union of Photographers informed that through the photo exhibition, he seeks to share the experiences of professional photographers, press photographers and talented people in the field. In addition, he also wants photographers to exchange points of views and opinions on photography. "The main aim of the photography exhibition is to facilitate a gathering place and to reward the photographers on their international day," said Al Hammadi.
"We take pride in our association with DSS for the photo exhibition. There is a lot of talent in UAE and such events bring out the best in every aspiring photographer. Sponsoring the DSS Photography Exhibition gives us the opportunity to reinforce our commitment to promoting photography in the region," said Arif Khan, Area Business Manager, Kodak Near East.
Along with this exhibition there would be some special corners for exhibiting the old cameras and the new cameras.
