$1bn Saudi olefins contract

Saudi-based Eastern Petrochemical Company has awarded a $1bn contract to expand its operations in the industrial city of Jubail to Britain's Stone & Webster, reported the Al-Eqtisadiah daily. The deal is for the construction of a 1.3m ton olefins complex, which will begin production in the first half of 2008.
