Standard Chartered, UAE's leading international bank, announced the appointment of Owen Belman as the Head of Consumer Banking, UAE.
Belman joined the Standard Chartered Group in Singapore as the Group Head of Deposits and Transaction Accounts in 2003. He was responsible for the development and rollout of the group retail deposits strategy and led implementation of new strategies in the primary and secondary markets.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Belman worked for Marakon Associates in Singapore, where he consulted to international life assurers and banks.
Owen Belman graduated from Haverford College with a B.A in English and acquired his Juris Doctor Degree from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, USA. Owen received his Masters in Management Degree from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.
