Jocelyn McBride, Marketing Manager Wafi Mall commented; "We have many exciting activities taking place throughout the mall to celebrate Heritage Surprises Week and we hope that both visitors to Dubai and residents will enjoy learning more about the Emirates."
For people who are interested in knowing more about traditional Emirati skills, local craftspeople will provide demonstrations of perfume making, basket weaving, and henna painting from 4pm-10pm daily. A marine exhibit provides an exciting and vivid walk-through underwater scene whilst a film offers information and guidance on the varied marine life in the region. In addition the boats and tools used by traditional pearlers and fishermen are featured at the mall, helping people grasp what day to day living was like for these people.
