The college has just recently received ministry accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical (Aerospace) Engineering (B.Sc.AE).

The four-year academic programme leading to the degree in Air Transport Management covers a number of subjects including Air Transport Quality & Safety, Aircraft Design & Performance and Airline Management.

The degree programme in Tourism Management, also a four-year course, covers various aspects of the tourism industry including International Tourism Marketing, Heritage Management and Financial Management for Tourism.

The college is due to receive accreditation shortly on its Bachelor of Science in Computer & Electronics Engineering (BScC&EE).

Over the past year, the ministry's Commission for Accreditation made a thorough assessment of the college's facilities and an audit of the courses in visits to the college, in addition to meeting with students and faculty members.

Their recommendations and suggestions ensured that the college met the required accreditation standards in time for the coming academic year.

College Vice Chancellor Mohammed Al Budoor said: "We are delighted that the Ministry of Education has recognised the stringent academic standards that the college follows in providing education in these aviation and tourism management courses.

"We followed the recommendations and suggestions by the ministry to ensure that our faculty members had the right qualifications for these specialised courses, in addition to equipping the college with the required facilities. Students are assured that they will study within an environment that will fulfil their requirements for reaching academic excellence."

Mr Al Budoor added: "We look forward to the accreditation of the last degree course we are offering in Computer & Electronic Engineering before the start of the academic year in September."
