Organisers Omanexpo announced today that OGWA 2006 is being officially supported by Pipeline Magazine, Upstream, energyme.com, Oil and Gas Directory Middle East, Industrial Products and Services, Gulf Oilfield Directory, Oman Economic Review (OER), the Oman Daily Observer and the Oman Daily Arabic.

"This close partnership with leading energy media companies is in line with our mutual objective of contributing to the continued development of the oil & gas industry in the Middle East," said C.J. Paul, General Manager of Omanexpo, the leading events management and exhibition organising company in the Sultanate.

Pipeline, the premier oil and gas magazine in the Middle East, will serve as the official magazine, while the other publications will act as media partners for OGWA 2006, ensuring broad editorial coverage and effective visitor promotion in the run-up to the event in April next year.

"The timing of OGWA 2006 is particularly significant, considering all the exciting developments in the industry as reported in the media and with the ongoing implementation of large-scale oil & gas projects in the region," Paul added.

First held in 1998, Oil & Gas West Asia is the region's established energy showcase as it presents the latest projects of national oil companies in the GCC as well as the services and technologies offered by contractors, engineering firms, and other international oil and gas firms. OGWA is held under the patronage of Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas and it is also supported by the state-owned Petroleum Development Oman.

OGWA 2006 will also feature technical seminars with industry experts as keynote speakers, and a major conference—the Middle East Energy Forum—will likewise be held alongside the exhibition to give industry professionals the opportunity to discuss the latest developments.
