The three-day exhibition will focus on four main categories - food, healthcare, beauty and wellness, and decorative items - and will cater to both trade and public. The event is co-sponsored by Thai Airways International and the Thai Tourism Authority.
Sutisak Laohachewin, Executive Director of the Thai Trade Center, said that the growing popularity of Thai culture and increasing usage of Thai products and services in the UAE would be clearly reflected at the exhibition, and that it marked continuously increasing trade between the two countries. 'This is the first time that the exhibition is being held in Dubai, as the occasion demands that we make our exhibitors highly visible and accessible. This edition of the exhibition boasts our largest number of participants ever, with over 100 exhibitors from Thailand, and it will also be the first time that it will be made open to the public.
We are confident that the acceptance, usage and popularity of various Thai products and services will gain a great fillip at this event,' he stated, adding that its popularity would lead to bigger Thai exhibitions and many more of them in ensuing years.
Key highlights for visitors include the display and presentation of Thailand's most famous exports, the presence of various Thai experts and authorities, and subsidised sales of products on the last day of the exhibition. 'The event will also offer visitors free tasting of Thai fresh fruits and foods prepared by six of Dubai's leading Thai restaurants, free medical consultations and traditional Thai foot massages. There will also be a lucky draw with the grand prize of a trip to Thailand,' said Mr. Laohachewin.
Confirmed exhibitors include major exporters of Thailand in automotives, construction material, food and fresh produce, furniture, franchise business, garments and textiles, gems and jewellery, gifts and decorative items, home appliances, house ware and kitchenware, hospital services and health products, leather goods, spa products and Thai restaurants.
The Thailand Exhibition will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 10 to 12 in Hall 5A from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm for trade and from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm for trade and public.
