Emirates Post issues special postmark

Emirates Post has created a special postmark (cancellation imprint) to celebrate the Back to School Transportation Week, and Back to School.

All mail will be stamped with the "Back to school. Back to safety - School transportation week - Emirates Transportation - 2005)" message in Arabic for a thirty -days period from August 20th to Sep 20th, 2005. The initiative is the outcome of the cooperation between Emirates Post and Emirates Transportation.

"The issuance of this stamps comes from our believe in the importance of this occasion, as schools about to open its door to our dear children, which makes it part of our responsibility to participate in creating the an awareness about the safety of the road to both the drivers as well as the students," said Abdullah Al Daboos, Director General, Emirates Post. "Emirates Post fully endorses the call by extending the usage of the cancellation stamp for a period of 30 days to make sure that the message has reached to the audience, this to secure the safety to our children".
