Bapco, Neste, $175m lubricant JV

The Bahrain Petroleum Company and Finland-based Neste Oil have agreed to work together on a $175m project to build and operate a lubricant base oil manufacturing facility in Bahrain. The facility, to be built at Bapco's Sitra refinery, will be capable of producing 400,000 mtpy of sulphur-free, very high viscosity lubricant base oils.
