"Doctor's Box" is a personalized newsletter providing Reuters Health News in 50 different specialties sent directly to the doctor's e-mail inbox. The newsletter is unique in that it provides physicians with the freedom to choose as many different specialties as they need to source news from and allows them to select as many articles as they want for each chosen specialty. In addition, doctors can choose a suitable frequency in which they wish to receive news.

Since its launch, over 350 doctors have subscribed to the newsletter, with a total average of 3600 e-mails from the "Doctor's Box" being sent out on a monthly basis.

Another weekly newsletter, "Univiews", is set to be launched in September and will provide physicians with a window to the most important services relating to Univadis, which will be sent directly to the e-mail inbox of doctors across the UAE, serving as a weekly reminder of all the services and updates on Univadis. The newsletter will be targeted towards all specialties in the field of medicine, keeping physicians up-to-date with the latest news, conference highlights, clinical cases, medical images and illustrations and the latest articles published in some of the most renowned journals of the medical world.

With these weekly newsletters, Univadis.md hopes to achieve its goal of providing aggregated and quick access to high quality medical content and services, and enhancing the Internets appeal as a one-stop source for comprehensive and update medical information.

"These weekly newsletters form an integral part of the vision Univadis.md has to enhance the online development of physicians in the UAE, and is the result of the portal's past and on-going primary benchmark analysis", comments by Nader Abou Chakra, univadis.md, Regional Marketing Coordinator for the Middle East and Africa.

Univadis.md has recognized the growing demand for online specialty medical resources, and as such, has undertaken an initiative which will serve to raise awareness in the medical industry, and inform physicians across the UAE on how the Internet can be of great benefit to their everyday professional lives. The project, in partnership with a number of local reputable organizations in the industry, is set to be launched later on this year with the specific objective of changing the way the Internet is viewed within the medical industry as a whole.
