Former national champion joins Al Corniche Club

Al Corniche Club, the seafront luxury fitness, spa and leisure facility scheduled to open in Kuwait later this year, has appointed former Romanian Long Jump Champion Alexandru Mihai as Sports and Fitness Coordinator.
"After 11 years of competing at the national and international level, I was ready to move into the other side of athletics, managing and coordinating, and I am delighted to now have the opportunity to apply my expertise at a club with the extensive facilities, diverse programmes and exclusive setting that Al Corniche offers", said Mihai.
Having spent two years as Sports and Fitness Coordinator at the Doha Ritz Carlton, as well as a year as Assistant Spa Manager at the Cancun Meridien in Mexico, Mihai brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to Al Corniche Club's fitness facilities and programmes.
"The facilities and equipment at Al Corniche, as well as the overall management and staff, are among the best I have seen throughout my professional career. It will be a pleasure to apply my skills in such first-rate surroundings", said Mihai.
Having successfully developed training schedules for triathlon teams as well as children's fitness programmes, Romanian-born Mihai, whose credentials include a degree in Physical Education as well as a license in sports rehabilitation treatments, is looking to add innovation and excitement to Kuwait's fitness landscape.
Located on Arabian Gulf Street, Al Corniche Club is scheduled to open its doors later this year. It will offer state-of-the art exercise facilities, tennis and squash courts, private beach cabanas, a world-class spa, including a hydro-pool and thermal suites, as well as a children's crèche, youth centre and business meeting venues.
