2 more weeks to go for DGJG's DSS promotions
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 22 - 2005 at 08:16
- PRESS RELEASE
With just two more weeks left for DGJG's DSS promotions, the Group is encouraging consumers to go out and shop for their chance to win the last two kilos of gold or two carats of diamonds.
Reacting to the promotion, Mr. Najmudin Sathak of Thamina Jewellery, said: "The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group's innovative promotion during the Dubai Summer Surprises has clearly captured the imagination of the consumers and has served as a major attraction for visitors coming to Dubai. The newly launched diamond jewellery promotion has been very impressive and well received by consumers across nationalities and segments."
He added: "These excellent campaigns, coupled with a concerted publicity drive through a variety of media, have generated millions of dirhams in revenue for Dubai's gold and jewellery traders. For me in particular, we had impressive sales during this traditionally quiet season, because we have had a lot of visitors from the GCC and European countries."
Indeed, the promotion unveiled by the Group this year has generated a terrific response. Jewellery outlets have witnessed a sharp upsurge in the sales and they are seeing extremely high footfalls.
Mr. O. R. Sai Baba, General Manager, Atlas Jewellery said: "The city of Dubai and the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group are no stranger to the power of promotional campaigns but we have been overwhelmed by the response of DGJG's DSS summer promotion. This year has been very different and extremely exciting for us. We can truly say that Dubai has now emerged as a great holiday destination during the summer - and there's no doubt that the gold and diamond dual promotion have driven that success. This just goes to show that great milestones can be achieved if we work together as a city and an industry to achieve our common goals."
Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, said: "We attribute the success of the summer promotion largely to the dual promotion this year - offering consumers an opportunity to shop for the best quality in jewellery and win gold and diamonds in return. For those who have not yet benefited from this opportunity, we would encourage them to purchase the Jewellery from any of the participating outlets and have a chance to win during the last two weeks of the promotion."
The raffles will be held on consecutive Thursdays till August 25 at the Gold Souk and other leading Jewellery Speciality malls such as Gold Land, Gold Souk Centre- Bur Dubai, Gold Centre & Gold Souk. The last draw will be held at the conclusion of Dubai Summer Surprises on September 2, 2005.
An association of more than 650 gold and jewellery members in Dubai, the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group is responsible for promoting and improving the gold and jewellery trade in Dubai. Founded in 1995, the Group has been part of the Dubai Shopping Festival as one of the Key Sponsors since its inception.
