Cutting edge solutions and technology at TEXPO 2005 to help Middle East garment manufacturers cope with growing competition
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 22 - 2005 at 10:31
- PRESS RELEASE
TEXPO, Middle East's only event fully dedicated to meeting the requirements of the region's apparel and allied industries, is scheduled at Expo Centre Sharjah from September 12-15, 2005.
"Post Quota 2005, garment manufacturers in the region are seeking specialization to attract buyers," said Mr. Fasahat Ali Khan, Acting Director General, Expo Centre Sharjah.
"TEXPO 2005 will be a one stop platform for the apparel industry to identify solutions and technology that will not only bring down production costs but also enhance quality," he added.
Al Borj, a major participant at this year's TEXPO, and a pioneer in providing the latest solutions to the apparel industry, will introduce some of the latest machineries and equipment including different types of cutting tables from ASCO.
ASCO is a company known around the globe for its manual, programmable and automatic cutting tables. While manual cutting tables are used for awnings, screens and roller blinds, Programmable cutting table are more suitable for manufacturing roller blinds and screens. Automatic cutting tables, on the other hand, are best for automatic cutting of awnings, insect screens, bed textile, filter panels, samples, foils, etc.
Besides cutting tables, some of Al Borj's other major attractions at TEXPO 2005 will be Saba Flex from Amann, Germany, WEMS Schifli Embroidery machine from Korea, and the Arrow Water Soluble backing from India.
Saba Flex is considered to be an unique sewing thread because of its better thread elasticity, more seam elasticity compared to standard sewing threads, standard lockstitch applications despite its elasticity, maximum seam elasticity in stretch fabrics, reduced risk of seam breakage, and saving of thread consumption.
The WEMS Schifli embroidery machines are also bound to become a major hit with the apparel industry in the region due to its high output, capacity for embroidering patterns to a maximum of 150,000 stitches, double Cam Drive systems, auto active system for front yarn feed, reliable computer and servo drive systems, and king size shuttles.
Arrow Water Soluble Backing, used for backing and topping for embroidery as well as schifli embroidery, is already in high demand through out the world for being environment friendly.
The 4-day TEXPO 2005 will witness the launch of several other such machinery and equipment that will help Middle East garment manufacturers not only bring down cost of production but also help improve the quality of products significantly, thereby giving them an even platform to compete with manufacturers from other regions more effectively.
