BankMuscat does it again - Best Internet Consumer Bank, for the second time

BankMuscat, the nation's premier financial institution, was recently declared as the 'Best Internet Consumer Bank' for 2005 by Global Finance, a leading New York- based financial magazine.
A world-class judging panel evaluated the entries and selected the winners alongside Global Finance editors who were responsible for the final selection of winners.
The winning banks were selected based on defined criteria which include: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in getting clients to use web offerings, growth of online customer base, breadth of product offerings, evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet initiatives, and web site design and functionality.
Speaking on the entries received, Joseph D. Giarraputo, publisher of Global Finance said,
"Banks around the world have continued to refine and expand their Internet offerings to corporate and consumer customers. The sophistication and utility of the sites represented in this year's entries was unparalleled."
Other Best Consumer Internet winners in the Middle East region included: Citigroup (Bahrain), National Bank of Kuwait (Kuwait), Qatar National Bank (Qatar), Saudi American Bank (Saudi Arabia) and Dubai Islamic Bank (UAE).
Global Finance has 50,000 subscribers and more than 253,000 readers in 158 countries. This audience includes chairmen, presidents, CEOs, CFOs, treasurers, and other financial officers responsible for making investments and strategic business decisions for large global companies and financial institutions.
