Senior managers including Mike Ballardie, Managing Director of Prince Europe, were present at the meeting.

Following the hugely successful launch in the USA, Europe and the Far East, Prince unveiled its pioneering O3 tennis racquet technology in a range featuring six racquets. Speaking at the event, Mike Ballardie said, "Product innovation has been the primary driver for our business since its foundation, and, in fact, for all successful performance sports equipment companies. Products that make play easier or raise an athlete's game have always had significant success. Think about the original Prince oversize, metal woods, shaped skis, mountain bike suspension. All those products started with a bold idea that solved a problem and altered the way people thought. O3 is no different. The engineering and technology that went into the creation of the new O3 racquet symbolize a significant design change that will revolutionize the game of tennis. Our goal is to make tennis more fun to play. We keep players ahead of the curve and help them to be competitive - and all of this starts with a great design."

The O3 technology

O3 is the latest innovation from the company that launched the original oversized racquet in the '70's, constant taper system in the 80's, and the longbody in the 90's. Through the marvel of advanced engineering, Prince has been able to dramatically increase the size of the Sweet Spot again, by 54%, without increasing the size or length of the racquet or changing weight or string tension. And, Prince has done so with a stunning, fresh, bold look.

With the O3's breakthrough engineering, the sweet spot has been enlarged by 54% to create a Sweet Zone, so players of all levels can hit their best shots more often, faster more accurate serves, more controlled volleys, and more penetrating ground strokes. Not only is the engineering radical, but so is the look. The sleek black frame splashed with metallic color, either red or silver, accentuates the most unique feature of the O3, the giant O-Ports.

The new O3 re-engineered racquets provide something never before thought possible in a tennis racquet, a large sweet spot in a maneuverable and aerodynamic frame. Prince re-engineered traditional pin sized string holes into giant O-Ports, providing total string freedom for a livelier response across the entire string bed. This expanded the conventional sweet spot by 54%, turning it into a Sweet Zone, allowing the player to hit more consistent shots, from more places on the racquet, more often.

New footwear range being launched

In addition to the award-winning O3 range, Prince is also launching a new casual footwear range.

Orange Sports appointed retail franchisee

Furthermore, Prince has appointed Dubai-based Orange Sports as its retail franchisee to open the first Prince mono brand store in the UAE. The first shop will open within a few months in Burjuman Centre.

The new outlet will offer the most complete range of Prince Products, including the complete O3 tennis range, plus squash, badminton, footwear - both technical and casual -and apparel, golf, accessories, world-class stringing service, and other value-added services.
