Cognos demonstrates enterprise business intelligence growth

Cognos, the world leader in business intelligence and corporate performance management, continues to demonstrate growth in the Enterprise BI (EBIS) market, according to the latest worldwide Gartner Dataquest report on business intelligence*.

Figures released by Gartner Dataquest show that Cognos' 2004 EBIS licence revenues grew 16.4 per cent, the highest growth among all traditional stand-alone business intelligence** competitors. Market share grew from 11.3 per cent in 2003 to 11.7 per cent in 2004; Cognos was the only company in this category to notch up double-digit growth. In the Middle East, over 300 customers already use Cognos software including Mashreq Bank, Dubai Bank, Riyadh Bank, Alshaya (Kuwait), Nissan Middle East, Nestle Middle East, Citibank UAE, Al Homaizi Foodstuff Company and Petrofac.
