Cisco Systems paves way for regional debut of Intelligent Networking at Gitex Dubai 2005

Cisco Systems, will break new ground at Gitex Dubai 2005 as it unveils for the first time in the region, its Application-Oriented Networking (AON) technology.
The company will also demonstrate at Gitex Dubai 2005 its Wide Area File Services (WAFS) and Server Virtualization solutions. Cisco's WAFS technology uses sophisticated protocol level caching to deliver Enterprises and Organizations, the benefits of consolidated storage and server infrastructure and fast file access across a distributed network. Cisco Systems' newly acquired Topspin InfiniBand-based server switching range provides a high performance, programmable infrastructure for grid and utility computing, clustered enterprise applications, and server virtualization, which extends to Cisco's leading Data Center network and storage switching solutions and transforms the role of the network into a true intelligent computing platform.
Commenting on the company's participation at Gitex Dubai 2005, Yousef Khalili, Regional Marketing Manager - Middle East and Africa, Cisco Systems said, "Rendering intelligence to the network is another frontier breached in favour of securing, integrating, and optimising business processes and assets to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership. In addition to Data Center and Storage solutions, the company has primed for Gitex Dubai 2005 its key advanced technologies such as IP Communications, IP Contact Centers, Security and Mobility. The Cisco System stand will also host special demonstration pods to explain to customers how the company can help Public Sector organizations, Enterprises and Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) deploy tailored-networking solutions that are designed for their specific sectors and address their business needs.
Cisco Systems will be joined at its stand by several of its key technology and learning partners from around the region, as well Linksys, it's fully owned division that offers a wide range or wireless networking solutions for consumers and small businesses.
