OFIS launches new flooring solution
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, August 30 - 2005 at 08:01
- PRESS RELEASE
OFIS - the furniture, flooring and interior solutions business of the Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group - is answering the needs of facilities managers and homeowners alike by expanding its range of unique flooring solutions from Interface, the world's leading flooring solutions provider.
Random carpets allow you to be as creative as you like, thanks to their flexibility of design. Costs are also minimised as the carpets are both practical and versatile, with damage put right simply by replacing the affected tiles. The carpets are smart enough to grace a living room, and tough enough to take the strain of life in a family kitchen, and customers can re-arrange the tiles to create a new design.
"OFIS is proud to be associated with Interface. As one of the world's leading flooring brands, Interface provides OFIS with the same high level of quality and innovation found in all its other products," said Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group.
"We are committed to providing the best office furniture and flooring brands from around the world. Whether for a hotel, conference centre or hospital, OFIS provides interior furnishing solutions that are pleasing to the eye, durable, cost effective and flexible," added Dayal.
Interface offers a huge choice of colour combinations, textures and patterns, suitable for every kind of commercial and residential flooring application, and its production designed to be durable and low-maintenance.
There are 10 different designs of random carpets available, each with its own distinctive theme and style. These include Entropy, Transformation, Modernism, Cubism, Adaptations, Woodland Way, Nature Trails, Fluctuations, Juxtapositions and Approximations.
Interface's random carpets are manufactured using stain resistant material and fibres to withstand years of traffic. They are widely seen as less expensive and more efficient than conventional carpets, which ultimately require total replacement.
Replacement is easy because random carpet tiles are not batch or dye-lot dependent. In other words, replaced tiles will always match, eliminating the need to hold 'same batch' stock for future installations. There are none of the handling problems associated with roll carpets, and random carpet tiles fit almost anyway they fall. Since the tiles are removable, homeowners can easily take their floorings with them wherever they move house.
Interface takes a strong interest in conserving the enviroment. Its Cool Carpet™ scheme makes it possible for customers to buy products which are 'climate neutral', where any greenhouse gases emitted throughout a product's lifecycle are offset, or balanced out.
The scheme calculates the total amount of harmful carbon dioxide (CO2 ) emmited during a product's lifecycle, and then invests in projects to reduce or reverse the impact of harmful emissions. These include the production of renewable energy, cutting down on the amount of fossil fuels used, and the removal of CO2 from the atmosphere.
Interface is currently working to fund energy reduction projects in South Africa, and a major project to re-establish 10,000 hectares of rainforest in Kibale National Park, western Uganda.
OFIS (Office Furniture Interior Solutions) used to be known as Technical and Trading Establishment, and the company has been in the business of office furniture for almost two decades. OFIS stocks international brands such as Wilkhahn, Unifor, Della Valentina, Ergo, Dauphin, Trendline, Benel, Interface and Parador, providing complete office furniture and flooring solutions. The OFIS showroom in Dubai is located at the foot of Maktoum Bridge.
