AUST Network's Faculty of Computer Science & Computer Engineering launches new programs for the academic year 2005-06

Ajman University of Science and Technology Network's Faculty of Computer Science & Computer Engineering has launched new programs for the new academic year 2005-06, announced a senior university spokesman.

Dr Mahmoud Abu Al Naaj, Dean, Computer Science & Computer Engineering said, " The faculty has been planning to launch a number of courses in accordance to a strategy plan that was chalked out long ago. We are working according to a particular time-table."

"We shall immediately start introducing a Bachelor of Internet Application & Multimedia and a postgraduate in Information Systems. The main objective is of introducing these courses is to meet the needs of the growing labour markets in the UAE and the region." said Dr Mahmoud.

"The faculty of Computer Science & Computer Engineering has in the last few years developed and improved its academic curriculum in line with the domestic and international labour market dynamic changes." he added.

He said, " The modernization and improvement process went in two directions, the first is drawing out sophisticated curriculum in line with the latest curriculum proposed by the US IT Association, the second is to analyses the feedback given by the faculty graduates. The main aim is to improve the skills and efficiency of the graduates and prepare them for the future development and competitive labour market."
