Resellers in the region get 'Site Survey Services' from Tech Data
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, June 17 - 2002 at 10:36
- PRESS RELEASE
Soon after Tech Data became the first value added distributor in the region to be "Cisco Wireless Certified," the company today announced that, for the first time in the Middle East, information technology resellers across the region have the option today to call on a team of wireless networking experts from Tech Data FZ-LLC for consultation support at clients' premises.
Jon Saunders from Cisco comments: "Programs like the Site Survey Services are key to the development of the channel's business, especially in tapping market opportunities awaiting to be serviced and require a certain level of expertise to support the customers. Tech Data has been always at the forefront of the market in its attempt to equip the channel with the needed expertise."
Angeveetil explains that designing a wireless network is a critical and important phase of the networking project. Factors such as distances between users, wiring requirements, barriers to frequencies and parameters all fall into the formula used to design a powerful network. "The Site Survey Services team acts as a consultant team for resellers to help them implement a successful project."
The Site Survey Services fall under Tech Data's year long "Build VAR Business with Tech Data" initiative that Tech Data announced earlier this year, aiming at growing the revenue opportunities in the region by building the skill set required strengthening technical specialization in the reseller channel. Tech Data training programs have touched in the first half of this year more than 5000 resellers from the region.
Eliot Shepherd, marketing director at Tech Data said: "Our core proposition at Tech Data is to deliver the widest range of IT products to the region's resellers, in the fastest and the most cost effective way. While we continue investing in our core business, bringing value add to the channel becomes one of our unique propositions: expanding the channel profit opportunities and growing the business of our vendor partners."
