Qatar Airways introduces new inflight duty free magazine

Qatar Airways has introduced the latest issue of its inflight duty free magazine featuring the widest range of products available for sale onboard.

From cosmetics and fragrances to watches, jewellery and gifts, the airline has introduced a wide selection of products for passengers of all age groups.

The 116-page brochure features an exciting collection of new products, along with some of the best selling items, as well as exclusive lines not available onboard other airlines in the region.

Ladies and gents fragrances, cosmetics, skin care, nails, jewellery, sunglasses, fashion, kids' games, travel accessories, souvenirs, cigarettes and specially-packed Arabic fragrances are among a vast array of items on sale.

Passengers flying on Qatar Airways' extensive network of destinations covering 66 routes worldwide, can also select their purchases through a pre-order service by taking their time to browse through the magazine before flying.

Qatar Airways Inflight Duty Free, part of the Qatar Airways division Qatar Duty Free, manages the airline's onboard sales.

Key highlights of the 16th edition of the magazine are: -

• An exclusive collection of Chopard jewellery and accessories - the first inflight offering in the Middle East. Features Chopard's Happy Diamond Pendant, key chain, roller racing pen for ladies and gents with matching mobile phone straps

• In association with leading Arabic fragrance house Ahmed Al Quraishi, there are four distinctive and popular Arabic fragrances exclusively packed for Qatar Airways

• New, trendy range of Montblanc writing instruments and watches

• All product descriptions are translated in Arabic and Japanese, and with English, a first in the region to have three languages in one inflight magazine.

For collectors, Qatar Duty Free is offering Qatar Airways' new Airbus A380 and A340-600 aircraft as miniature die-cast models. Both these aircraft-type join Qatar Airways' expanding fleet over the next four years. The models complement the A320 and Qatar Airways' flagship long-haul A330-200s which are already available for sale inflight.

Qatar Airways is offering a special inflight promotion with a chance to win a brand new luxurious Mercedes Benz SLK 200. One lucky passenger will walk away with the Mercedes SLK 200 when the draw is held towards the end of year.

In addition, members of Privilege Club, Qatar Airways' frequent flyer programme, earn 2 Qmiles for every US$1 spent on purchases onboard. The miles earned can be redeemed for an array of travel benefits through Privilege Club, including flights and accommodation.

Qatar Duty Free Assistant General Manager Krishna Kumari said the latest magazine featured the most comprehensive range of products ever available on Qatar Airways.

"We are pleased to offer an exciting range of products for our passengers, and especially provide them with a wide choice to select from," she said.

"With the huge range on offer, we are also bringing back the romance back for passengers to purchase duty free onboard for their loved ones.

Qatar Airways currently flies to 66 destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Far East and Indian subcontinent from its operational hub of Doha, capital of the State of Qatar in the Arabian Gulf. The Kenyan capital, Nairobi, joins the network on November 15, followed a month later by the German capital, Berlin, as the airline's third German destination.
