BenQ takes the lead in Saudi projector market
- Saudi Arabia: Monday, September 05 - 2005 at 11:20
- PRESS RELEASE
New research from Decision Tree Consulting (DTC) has confirmed that digital lifestyle leader BenQ has secured the number one position in Saudi Arabia's digital projector market, with a 25 percent share of projectors sold in Q2 2005.
Projector sales are particularly strong in the government and education sectors, with a number of major deals underlining BenQ projectors' reputation for solid performance and attractive design.
"Saudi Arabia has been a priority market for BenQ's projector division this year, and we're pleased to hold the number one position - and a very strong market share - for the first two quarters of this year," said Manish Bakshi, general manager, BenQ Middle East.
"We have a number of new products ready to be launched over the next few months which will strengthen our offering for the Saudi market, and this - bolstered by the strong support of partners like Rodana Digital - should ensure we maintain and build our leadership position," added Bakshi.
Rodana Digital, BenQ's distributor for projectors in the Kingdom, confirmed the popularity of the new line of projectors in the Saudi market.
"Strong design, high-grade performance and a range of innovative features have enabled BenQ to make such impressive in-roads into the Saudi digital projectors market, and we anticipate this high level of demand will continue," said Ayman H. Akel, general manager, Rodana Digital.
BenQ has placed particular emphasis on its lightweight digital projectors over the summer, with a number of incentive offers boosting sales of its 'Light Brigade' Mobility series, including the PB2140 and PB2250. Both projectors are extremely easy for travelling businessmen to carry, and the PB2250's improved password protection brings increased security.
In addition, a range of promotions have been rolled out to support the launch of the PB6240 projector, designed to provide the most professional, eye-catching presentations.
"Every business has different needs. One business might need a light-weight projector which is portable and accessible; another might need a bigger model which comes with large speakers for cutting-edge sound. Our projector range covers all the bases, and is designed to satisfy any business, whatever its needs," Bakshi concluded.
