Colour is a powerful form of communication that derives from peoples' deepest instincts, and it is always in play. OKI will be at GITEX 2005 this year to demonstrate how colour psychology, when understood properly, can be used in the business environment to influence specific responses to everyday documents.

"Colour is the first thing anyone responds too, whether consciously or unconsciously, whenever they received a form of printed communication, such as a presentation, a phone bill or a letter. If it turns them off right from the start, all the other design factors such as typography or layout will have to work twice as hard to get the message across," said John Ross, general manager Middle East, OKI Printing Solutions. "Through our broad range of printing solutions and multifunction devices, OKI will show visitors how colour documents are an important asset to organisations and can play a key role on how effectively a company can communicate with its own customers."

Located in Hall 1 of the Dubai World Trade Exhibition (DWTC) halls at the British Pavilion, the OKI Printing Solutions stand at GITEX 2005 will showcase the latest printing solutions that OKI has on offer for the region's enterprise and SMB market:

OKI C3000 and C5000 Series - a complete range of colour printers that are fast and affordable for individuals and small workgroups and allow them to produce professional colour documents and print images with photo-like quality on ordinary office paper.

OKI C9000 Series - a new range of A3 digital LED colour and mono printers that bring forward the latest advanced colour technology, providing large workgroups with best in class print quality at a speed that empowers them to bring their printed communications back in-house.

OKI C5500 Series & OKI C9800 MFP - Based on the proven technology of the C3000 and C5000 Series, the C5510 MFP and C5540 MFP in this series bring the world's only single-pass colour and mono A4 Multifunction Product (MFP) for small and medium organisations in the Middle East. OKI will also showcase the C9800 MFP that is an advanced A3/A4 colour Multifunction Product which boasts a print speed of up to 36 colour and 40 mono A4 pages or copies per minute.

OKI C9800GA and C9800GA MFP - OKI's new Graphic Arts (GA) range addresses the Middle East graphic arts market's growing demands for enhanced colour quality and accuracy combined with outstanding speed and cost performance. The two products offer a high quality professional solution for in-house designers, advertising agencies or copy/print shops that need to repeatedly produce consistent professional colour documents that are consistent to their clients corporate colours.

In June 2005, OKI Printing Solutions announced that it would be expanding its presence in the region through the establishment of its Middle East headquarters at the Dubai Airport Free Zone. The move is in line with OKI's increased investment in the region to drive sales and marketing support for its channel partners across the GCC, Levant and North African countries and launch a whole new range of printing solutions that will bring new choice to the Middle East printing market.

OKI Data Corporation (a wholly owned subsidiary of OKI Electric Co., Ltd) unveiled its new global identity last May, OKI Printing Solutions, as part of its continuing drive to be recognised as a major challenger brand in the colour non-impact printer market worldwide. The new name reflects OKI Printing Solutions' focus on empowering businesses and their staff to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of their printed communications, by providing flexible, easy to use printing solutions.
