The sessions of this GCC - EU partnership program were also attended by all the Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in Belgium and the EU. The Seminar aims at developing a greater understanding of the EU among senior executives of public and private institutions in the GCC.
Speakers during the seminar shed light on the existing relations between the GCC and the EU countries and issues affecting the EU especially after the relapse resulting from the voting on the EU constitution and economic policies. Speakers also discussed the future of the EU and the security and economic challenges facing the EU countries including their role and influence in international trade.
Participants to the seminar visited NATO Headquarters and the offices of various EU committees.
