Faculty of Education & Basic Sciences organizes symposia in Electronic Education

The Faculty of Education and Basic Sciences - AUST Network - has a busy schedule of symposia in electronic education during the current academic year starting September 2005.
Dr. Saleh Awad, Dean, Faculty of of Education and Basic Sciences, said: "The symposium planned will discuss a number of important educational issues that needs further research and studies. Our aim is to find innovative solutions for the present educational obstacles. The symposium will be attended by prominent academics and educational experts from the Arab world and the west.
The faculty of Education and Basic Sciences has well prepared to receive the new comers who are expected to join the faculty four specialties including Educational Technology, Arabic & Islamic studies, Mathematics & Science and English Language.
The Faculty of Education and Basic Studies has formed higher Committees to improve and upgrade the educational plans and curricula in both specialties of Math & Science and Arabic Language & Islamic Studies.
He said: "We are well aware of the needs of the labour market in the UAE and the entire region, therefore we do plan our studies and research based on that.
"A number of exhibitions and conference will be organized by the faculty students as part of the internal activities that go in line with the university philosophy, added Dr Saleh.
The faculty teaching staff are scheduled to participate in a number of conferences in the UAE and outside.
