Boeing selects Cognos solutions for enterprise reporting

The global manufacturer will use Cognos' enterprise business intelligence solution, including Cognos ReportNet™, to provide common business reporting. The Cognos solution, part of an enterprise-wide business intelligence initiative, will be utilised within Boeing commercial airplanes, integrated defense systems, shared services group, and Connexion by BoeingSM. The Boeing Company provides products and services to customers in 145 countries and is the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners. It is also a global market leader in military aircraft, satellites, missile defense, human space flight, and launch systems and services.

UAE-based airline Emirates is one of Boeing's largest regional customers and recently ordered 30 commercial 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircrafts. It will be one of the world's largest operators of airplanes in Boeing's 777 family.
