- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, September 07 - 2005 at 11:48
- PRESS RELEASE
Being the consistent holder of the most patents in the world for the past 12 years and one of the world's leading research and development companies, IBM has announced today that it will be at GITEX 2005 to demonstrate some of the latest new technologies that promise to drive significant growth in the Middle East IT market.
IBM will bring to the show a host of advanced new wireless solutions that are based on open-standards and encompass a broad range of IBM's hardware, software and services offerings. Visitors will also see demonstrations on Linux clusters and IBM's latest digital media solutions that bring publishers, TV, radio and advertising companies the future of great, locally produced content by addressing some of their fundamental challenges in content creation, management and distribution.
This year's GITEX will also see the debut of Lenovo in the Middle East, the third-largest personal computing company in the world, in light of the company's recent deal with IBM's Personal Computing Division. Lenovo, which will be located alongside the IBM stand in Hall 3, has a unique marketing and services alliance with IBM through which Lenovo's PCs are marketed through IBM's powerful distribution and sales network across the region. The company will bring a wave of new products at the show and provide demonstrations on the patented and award-winning ThinkVantage technologies in wireless, security, data protection and PC management that are available in nearly all ThinkPad notebooks and ThinkCentre desktops.
The IBM stand will be located in Hall 3 (Stand C3-1) of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) exhibition halls.
